November
Samir could do no wrong in November as he continued to be incisive and inventive in a number of roles across the Arsenal midfield. He scored the opener in the North London derby when he squeezed the ball home from a tight angle and spectacularly volleyed home a second in a win at Aston Villa. Away from his Club form, Samir demonstrated his new-found confidence with a sparkling display as France beat England 2-1 at Wembley.
October
Samir was named the PFA Fans' Player of the Month for October after a fantastic month for the Arsenal No 8. He scored three times in five appearances and was instrumental throughout as the Gunners showed their domestic and European intentions. He opened the scoring against Birmingham when he netted from the penalty spot and scored the second against Shakhtar Donetsk in the Champions League. Samir broke the deadlock in a 3-0 win over Manchester City which led to Arsene Wenger hailing him as a "dream player".
September
Samir was in impressive form as he made four starts and scored four goals for the Gunners during September. His two penalties during extra time in the Carling Cup against Tottenham won Arsenal the tie in a month where Tomas Rosicky and Andrey Arshavin both missed spot kicks. In the following game against West Brom Samir single-handedly started the Arsenal fight back with two goals as the Baggies ran out 3-2 winners.
August
Samir started for Arsenal at Liverpool but was then ruled out for a month. The midfielder had to undergo minor surgery on his knee following a meniscal injury sustained during the match at Anfield.
May
Samir started both of Arsenal's May fixtures and his goal against Porto in March won the Club's Goal of the Season award. His solo effort in the Champions League received 48 per cent of the vote from fans via Arsenal.com.
April
Samir featured in all five of Arsenal's April fixtures, starting on four occasions. He also received the award for March Goal of the Month in a fans' poll on Arsenal.com. The midfielder's strike against Porto was voted the best Gunners goal of the month.
March
Samir featured in all six of Arsenal's fixtures during March, starting five of them. He scored against Porto and Birmingham City and Arsène Wenger was full of praise for the midfielder. "He had a very good game against Burnley and scored a remarkable goal against Porto," said the manager. "He can score and help assists. What is important is to keep the balance between giving the ball in the final third and scoring goals. On this occasion he made the right decision and has the talent to do it."
February
Nasri started all five of Arsenal's first-team fixtures in February, helping the Gunners end the month just three points short of top spot in the Premier League. The Frenchman was one of just four players to feature in every Arsenal game this month.
January
Samir made four appearances for Arsenal in January despite picking up a hamstring injury ahead of the trip to Stoke. Speaking to Arsenal TV Online, the Frenchman said that he believed the nature of the English game would help lead him to title success. "I've learnt about new tactics, commitment and technique," he said. "It was a big change coming from the French League to the English League; it is a really high level and will bring me to winning titles and cups. I have learnt a lot."
December
Samir played in all six of Arsenal's Premier League fixtures in December. The Frenchman scored in the Gunners' 4-1 win over Portsmouth and provided the assist for Alex Song to score Arsenal's fourth goal of that game.
